Nationality
The candidates who wish to hold the South-Indian Bank Probationary Officer post should be citizens of India and have valid citizenship proof from the Govt. of India. The citizenship proof will be required during the document verification.
Age Criteria for Probationary Officer (Experienced)
- The maximum age of the candidate must not be more than 28 years. The candidate should neither be born earlier than 1st December 1993 nor later than 30th November 2003 (including both days).

Work Experience For Probationary Officer (Experienced)
- 2 years or more experience in Scale I/ Officer Cadre in any Scheduled Commercial Bank.
- Active service of previous work experience may be counted and fixed for each candidate at the sole discretion of the Bank.
Age Criteria For Probationary Officer (Freshers)
- The maximum age of the candidate must not be more than 26 years. The candidate should neither be born earlier than 1st December 1995 nor later than 30th November 2003 (including both the days).
- The upper age relaxation is provided for the following reserved categories:
- Scheduled Castes (SC): 5 years relaxation
- Scheduled Tribes (ST) 5 years relaxation.
Educational Qualification For Probationary Officer (Freshers)
- 10th/ SSLC, 12th/ HSC, and Graduation in Engineering with 60 percent or above marks under a full-time (regular) course OR
- 10th/ SSLC, 12th/ HSC, Graduation, and Post Graduation in any stream with 60 percent or above marks under a full-time (regular) course from a recognized University/ Institute.
Educational Qualification For Probationary Officer (Experienced)
- 10th/ SSLC, 12th/ HSC, and Graduation with 60 percent or above marks under a full-time (regular) course.
- Graduation in Commerce/ Science/ Arts/ Engineering stream.
Candidates meeting the South Indian Bank PO Eligibility criteria only are eligible to apply for the recruitment
- Candidate must have passed 10th, 12th, and Graduation under a full-time (regular) course from a recognized University or Institute.
- Educational qualification through distance mode of education will not be taken into consideration.
- Graduates who have secured admission in engineering through lateral entry must have scored 60 percent or above marks in 10th/ SSLC, 12th/ HSC, Polytechnic/ Diploma, and Graduation.
- The candidate should mention the percentage of marks obtained calculated to the nearest two decimals.
- Where OGPA/ CGPA is given, it should be converted into a percentage and mentioned in the Application form.
- When called for the Interview stage, the candidate will have to submit a certificate mentioning the norms of the Institute/ University for conversion of grades into percentages.
- In case Grade/ CGPA is awarded, only candidates securing CGPA/ Grade equivalent or more than 60 percent may apply.
- Rounding off to the nearest integer is not allowed. (for e.g., 59.99 percent cannot be rounded off to 60 percent)
- The percentage of marks must be calculated by dividing the total marks secured in all the subjects (including Hons and pass subjects/ optional subjects) into all the years or semesters by the total marks of all the subjects.
