The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is the conducting body for various Civil Services Examinations in Uttar Pradesh. UPPSC PCS Exam Notification

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released 400 vacancies for the PCS 2021 posts in different departments. The board will fill these posts with a UPPSC combined state/upper subordinate services examination. The board conducts this exam every year, and for 2021, they scheduled the prelims exam for 13th June 2021. But, they postponed the UPPSC PCS Exam – 2021 because of the pandemic.

UPPSC PCS Exam – 2021 Selection Process

UPPSC conducts PCS exams for vacancies in its departments. For 2021, this exam will have three stages, including

  • Preliminary Examination (Objective Type & Multiple choices)
  • Main Examination (Written examination)
  • Interview (Personality Test)

Applicants have to clear all three exams and score marks above the cut-off to be appointed UPPSC Officer.

UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam will have two objective question papers. The negative marking scheme will apply to both of these papers. 1/3rd mark will be deducted for every wrong response in the Prelims exams. Paper-2 is qualifying in nature with 33% pass criteria.

The mains exam will comprise eight papers and will be subjective type. UPPSC commission will call only those applicants for the mains exam who will clear the prelims written test. The detailed information about the mains exam for UPPSC PCS Exam – 2021 is given below:

The commission will conduct mains exam within a week in two shifts:

  • Morning Shift: 9.30 am to 12.30 pm

UPPSC PCS Exam – 2021 Interview

The commission will call the applicants who will clear the mains exam for the interview. They will test the mental, academic, general awareness, aptitude, conversational skills, personality, and suitability of the applicants for the PCS posts in the interview. UPPSC PCS Admit Card

UPPSC has uploaded the admit cards of all the eligible applicants on its official web portal. We recommend all aspirants visit the official site and download their admit cards from there. They need a hard copy of the admit card and ID proof for identification at the time of prelims and mains exams. If any applicant fails to show any of these two, the commission will not allow that applicant to appear for the exam. Applicants must also ensure that the details mentioned on the admit card are accurate. If there is any discrepancy, applicants must correct that as soon as possible.

Mandatory Documents for Verification

To appear in UP PCS Exam, all applicants must possess the following documents:

A printed copy of UPPSC PCS Exam – 2021 Admit Card

Original valid ID Proof and 2 photocopies

Two recent colored passport size photographs

The exam officers will check these documents before the exam and allow applicants’ entry only after proper verification.

UPPSC PCS Cut Off

The commission has released the cut-off for the UPPSCS PCS 2019 & 2020 exams. It releases the cut-off list along with the result so that applicants know whether they have cleared the exam. Applicants may see the previous year’s cut-offs and set their targets accordingly.
