UPPSC PCS Exam Results - Complete Details

UPPSC PCS will declare the results for 400 vacancies for the several posts of Combined State/ Upper Subordinate Services after the conclusion of the exams. The selection procedure is divided into three stages: preliminary exams, Written (Mains) examinations, and Personal Interviews. To be shortlisted for the post, the candidates must clear all three stages of the selection process. The exams are expected to be scheduled for the year 2021 in the same year. The UPPSC PCS Result for the Preliminary examination will be declared after the conclusion of the exams. The preliminary exams are objective type and Multiple choice questions(MCQs) consisting of two papers, conducted in morning and afternoon sessions. Candidates need to appear in both papers to avoid any disqualification. 

Paper-II of the prelims exam is qualifying in nature that demands a minimum of 33% of marks to appear at the next level of the selection process. The candidates should take care that there is a penalty (negative marking) of one-third (0.33) marks for each incorrect answer given in the examination. If the candidate gives more than one answer, such an answer would be considered a wrong answer even if any one of the answers is the correct answer. If a candidate leaves the question blank, it will be treated as unanswered, and no penalty will be charged.

The candidates of S.C and S.T category should secure a minimum efficiency standard of 35%. If candidates of these categories secure less than 35% marks in the preliminary or Mains (Written) Examination, then such candidates will not be placed in the merit list and disqualified from participating in further procedures. On the same lines, if the candidates of other categories secure less than 40% marks in the Preliminary/Written (Mains) Examination will not be placed on the merit list and will be disqualified from the selection process. 

The UPPSC will prepare the merit list of the preliminary examination based on the marks obtained in Paper-I of the examination.

In the Mains (Written) Examination, the papers will be based on a conventional type answering format for three hours conducted in one week. The candidate must obtain minimum marks as prescribed by the Commission in the compulsory paper of General Hindi. With two sections in each question paper, a total of four questions are provided for each section. The candidates should answer at least two from each section while attempting only five questions in the paper.

As mentioned earlier, the results will be declared once the preliminary examinations are concluded. The Mains (written) Examination results will be declared after the conclusion of the exams.

Step 5: Check your name in the PDF file (Merit List) with the help of your name and roll number to confirm your positive results. 

The candidates whose name and roll number appears in the PDF will be qualified for the Mains Examination.
