Banking is one of the most desirable industries by the aspirants preparing for banking exams. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) releases the vacancy for Probationary officers every year for the candidates aspiring to join the industry. Public Sector Banks take part in the recruitment process for IBPS PO. These are held once every year around September/October and notification of the same is released around August every year.
IBPS PO Exam 2022 – Notification
IBPS will release the IBPS PO 2022 Recruitment notification soon. With the publication of the notification, the online application process for clerk positions will begin. The official website @ ibps.in will host the IBPS Clerk 2022 notification. The IBPS PO Exam Selection Process comprises three key stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview. According to the IBPS Calendar, the dates for the Preliminary Examination will be 15, 16, 22 October 2022 while the date for the Main Examinations will be tentatively held on 26 November 2022.

IBPS will announce the official number of vacancies for IBPS PO 2022 with the official notification. For now let us know about the IBPS PO vacancies in 2021.
IBPS PO Previous Year vacancies:2021
A total of 4135 vacancies for IBPS PO 2021. It is not known yet how many vacancies will be there for the post of IBPS PO 2022. A look at the pattern of vacancies for the previous year will provide a fair idea of how many vacancies will be there for each category of candidates. Total vacancies that were declared in 2018-19 for the position of IBPS PO was 4252, for the year 2019-20, the number of vacancies announced was 4336, and for the year 2020-21, the number of vacancies announced for the position of IBPS PO was 3517 (all new).

IBPS PO 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Before getting down to filling out the online application form, be sure that you have checked all eligibility requirements and that you fulfill all of them. All the information will be available to you in the notification, which will be released in the 1st week of July 2022. IBPS PO Exam Eligibility Criteria is divided into three heads: nationality, educational qualification, and age.
IBPS prescribes the eligibility criteria of the IBPS PO Exam 2022 as per nationality, age, and educational qualification. Candidates should meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria to apply for the examination.
Nationality
A candidate must be either –
- A Citizen of India
- A Subject of Nepal
- A Subject of Bhutan
- Tibetan Refugee who came to India prior to 1st January 1962 intending to live in India permanently.
- Persons of Indian origin who migrated from Vietnam/ Ethiopia/ Zaire/ Malawi/ Zambia / Tanzania/ Uganda/ Kenya/ Sri Lanka/ Burma /Pakistan, intending to reside permanently in India, will be eligible.
Candidates belonging to categories 2, 3,4, and 5 should produce an eligibility certificate from the Indian Government whenever asked by IBPS.
Age Limit
The candidate should be 20 to 30 years of age. The candidate should be born on or after 2nd August 1991 and born on or before 1st August 2001. Upper age relaxations are provided to reserved categories. The age relaxations are given below:

- The relaxation for the maximum age limit for candidates from Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Caste and Other Backward Class is on a cumulative basis.
- If the Schedule Tribes candidate has any physical disability, the candidate gets a relaxation of a maximum of 15 years for the upper- age limit. No other exemptions will be allowed.
- No upper age limit relaxations will be given to General and EWS candidates.
- The candidate seeking age relaxation shall produce relevant documents both in original as well as photocopies to prove their claim.
- An Ex-Serviceman who has already availed the benefits provided to the candidate as an ex- Serviceman for re-employment will not get the benefit a second time.
- No reservation for Ex-servicemen in the Officer Cadre.
Educational Qualification
The candidate should be a graduate or have an equivalent qualification in any discipline from some recognized University.
- The candidate should pass the qualifying examination by August 2021.
- The date on the mark sheet/ scorecard is considered as the date of passing the degree.
- The document of educational qualification will have to be produced for document verification.
- Candidates must specify the graduation percentage, calculated to the nearest two Decimal points.
- The fraction of the percentage will be ignored. Hence, 59.99% will be considered less than 60%, and 54.99% will be considered less than 55%.
Computer Literacy
The candidate must be computer savvy and with knowledge of computer systems. Knowledge of computer usage is essential for the job.
Language Proficiency
The candidate should be proficient in the written and spoken official language of the State/ Union Territory. The Candidate must know to read, write and speak the language.

IBPS PO 2022 Process for Selection
The IBPS PO would make the appointment of the candidates based on the performance of the candidate through the three stages for the process of recruitment for IBPS PO. The three stages of the recruitment process are listed below.
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Examination
- Interview
There are two cut-offs that the candidate will have to meet: a sectional cut-off and the overall cut-off. A candidate has to qualify at every stage to be selected for the post of PO. You must remember that the Preliminary round is a qualifying round, and in the Mains round, you need to score the minimum cut-off marks to qualify for the Interview stage. The Interviews are taken by participating organizations, and the Nodal Bank of every State/ UT co-ordinates them. The highest marks which a candidate can score in the interview are 100 marks.

IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern
IBPS PO Prelims Exam is of 100 marks to be attempted in 1 hour. The questions are MCQs. Each question answered incorrectly gets a 0.25 mark deduction. This preliminary exam is a qualifying round.

IBPS PO Interview:
The last stage of the IBPS PO recruitment process is the IBPS PO interview.
- All applicants who have qualified in the Preliminary Examination and the Main Examination will move to the Interview round.
- The maximum mark that a candidate can score in the interview round is 100 marks.
In calculating the final result of a candidate, the percentage-wise weightage given to the result of Preliminary Examination and that of the Main Examination in 80 percent and 20 percent, respectively.

IBPS PO Syllabus

IBPS PO Admit Card
An Admit Card allows a candidate access to the examination hall. For the IBPS PO examination, it is expected that the Admit Card will be made available to the candidates between 10 to 15 days before each examination. Score Normalization
