SBI CBO Selection Procedure 2024: The State Bank of India will announce the recruitment for Circle Based Officers for 2024. Candidates interested in the vacancies should be aware of the selection process for the same. The selection process of SBI CBO consists of a written test, a screening, and an interview round. This article will provide a look into the selection process of SBI CBO 2024.

Candidates should be aware that the SBI CBO selection takes place across 3 stages-

• Online written test
• Screening
• Interview

Those who pass the interview are then selected for the post of SBI CBO.

Online Test 

SBI draws the merit list Circle wise and Category wise on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in Online Test. There will be no sectional qualifying marks. The number of candidates that the Bank shortlists for screening will be thrice the number of vacancies. These will be from the top of the Circle wise and Category wise subject merit list to a candidate scoring the minimum aggregate qualifying score, as the Bank decides. The exam pattern for the SBI CBO online test is as follows-

SBI CBO Descriptive test

The descriptive test will test the candidate's ability to write long-form content. The type of questions will be as given below.

Penalty for Wrong Answers: There will be no penalty for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests. If a question is left blank, i.e. if no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question too.

Screening

The Screening Committee constituted by the Bank will examine whether the candidates fulfill the required eligibility criteria of experience. They will examine the online applications and documents of candidates, who are shortlisted based on performance in online examinations, will be placed before the Screening Committee.

The Committee will then match the candidate's job profile with that of the Scale-1 Generalist Officer. They certify the job profiles that the candidate's submit by getting them verified from the candidate's previous/current employer. SBI rejects the applications of those candidates whose job application is not a match.

Note - The decision of the Bank in this regard would be final and binding on all candidates. SBI will entertain no representations or correos oh=n this regard. The Selection Committee will select those candidates who fulfill the required experience. They will then call these candidates for an interview.

Interview

The interview will consist of 50 marks. Candidates must score minimum qualifying marks in interview to be clear to theifnal final selection. The Bank decides the minimum qualifying marks.

Final selection

The candidates will have to qualify both in Online Test and Interview separately. The candidate's marks in the Online Test will include the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test. SBI prepares the final merit list based on the final marks of the candidate. This final mark is the sum of the online test marks and the marks from the interview.

SBI uses normalization and then prepares the final merit list. The marks scored in Online Test and Interview will undergo normalization with a 75:25 weightage respectively.

SBI converts the marks in the Online Test (out of 170) to out of 75 and for the Interview (out of 50) to out of 25 marks. The final merit list is ready after SBI aggregates the converted marks of the test and interview. The candidates who rank at the topic of the merit list are the ones who are selected.
