Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), New Delhi has released the notification for the recruitment of the Upper Division Clerk (UDC). ONLINE Applications (through the website of ESIC) are invited for filling up the post of Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Stenographer (Steno), and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) on regular basis by Direct Recruitment in ESIC. ESIC Recruitment 2022: Selection Process
1. For Upper Division Clerk/ Clerk-Cashier Posts
The selection
- 75% by direct recruitment by written examination.
- 15% by promotion on the basis of seniority cum fitness.
- 10% by Limited Departmental Competitive Examination
2. For Stenographer Posts
The ESIC Stenographer selection process has two rounds. The first round is the Main exam and the performance in this round is considered for preparing the final merit list. The second round is the Computer Skill Test (CST). The CST is of a qualifying type.
3. ESIC Exam Pattern For Upper Division Clerk/ Clerk-Cashier Posts
The scheme of Examination for the post of Upper Division Clerk (UDC) is as under:
- Phase I Preliminary Exam
- Phase II Mains Exam
- Phase III Computer Skill Test

The ESIC UDC salary for Upper Division Clerk/Upper Division Clerk Cashier Level-4 is (Rs. 25,500-81,100) and for Stenographer Level-4 is (Rs. 25,500-81,100).
ESIC Stenographer and UDC jobs have an age limit of minimum18 and maximum of 27 years.
The candidate should be having a graduation Degree from a recognized University and Working knowledge of computers including the use of Office Suites and databases.
ESIC UDC is a central government job and comparatively better than a PSU job like the SBI Clerk. It will have a better salary, more allowances, steady growth, complete job security, lesser workload as compared to a bank clerk/PO.
