As per the SSC exam calendar, the SSC CHSL 2022 Notification is released on 1st February 2022. SSC CHSL 2022 Tier 1 exam is scheduled to be conducted from 24th May 2022 to 10th June 2022 as per the official notification released on 9th March 2022. SSC CHSL 2022 Selection Process

SSC CHSL selection process consists of three stages:

Tier-1 Objective Test

Tier-2 Descriptive Test

Tier-3 Skill Test

In order to clear SSC CHSL, a candidate needs to clear all the three stages namely, Tier-1, Tier-2 and Tier-3.

SSC CHSL 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality/ Citizenship:

  1. A candidate must be either:
  2. a citizen of India, or
  3. a subject of Nepal, or
  4. a subject of Bhutan, or
  5. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settlingin India, or
  6. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda,the United Republicof Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  7. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
  8. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after, the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him/herby the Government of India.

Age Limit (As on 01-01-2022)

  1. Age limit for the posts is 18-27 years as on 01-01-2022 i.e. Candidates born not before02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2004 are eligible to apply.
  2. Permissible relaxation in the upper age limit for different categories are as under:

Educational Qualifications (As on 07-03-2022)

  1. For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
  2. For Data Entry Operator (DEO Grade ‘A') in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
  3. The candidates must possess Essential qualification on or before the closing date for receipt of online applications i.e. 07-03-2022.
  4. As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification dated 10-06-2015 published in Gazette of India all the degrees/ diplomas /certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grant Commission Act, 1956 and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government provided they have been approved by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission. Accordingly, unless such degrees are recognized for the relevant period when the candidates acquired the qualification, they will not be accepted for the purpose of Educational Qualification.

SSC CHSL 2022 Pay Scale

  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Level-2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200).
  • Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA): Pay Level-4(Rs. 25,500-81,100).
  • Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Level-4(Rs. 25,500-81,100) and Level-5(Rs. 29,200-92,300).
  • Data Entry Operator, Grade ‘A': Pay Level-4(Rs. 25,500-81,100).

SSC CHSL 2022 Application Fees

  • Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only).
  • Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled  Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
  • Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
  • Online fee can be paid by candidates up to 08-03-2022 (23:00 hours). However, candidates who wish to make cash payment through the challan of SBI, may make payment in cash at the Branches of SBI within the working hours of bank up to 10- 03-2022 provided the challan has been generated by them before 09-03-2022 (23:00 hours).
