SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2023
Along with the official notification, SSC CHSL eligibility is made available. It is one of the most important aspects of the exam that candidates must understand before applying for it. Candidates must meet all of the criteria in order to pass the SSC CHSL exam. If a candidate fails to meet any of the SSC CHSL eligibility criteria 2023, their candidature may be withdrawn at any point during the recruitment process. SSC CHSL Eligibility 2023 - Age limit
The crucial date for age reckoning is fixed as 01-08-2023 in accordance with the
provisions of DoP&T OM No. 140l7 /70/87-Estt.(RR) dated 14-07-1988. Age
limit for the posts is 18-27 years i.e. Candidates born not before 02-08-1996 and
not later than 01-08-2005 are eligible to apply.
- Minimum Age – 18 years. Candidates must have attained the age of 18 years as of 01 August 2022 to fulfill the age limit criterion.
- Maximum Age – 27 years. The upper SSC CHSL age limit is capped at 27 years. However, age relaxation is given to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories.
Candidates should be aware that the SSC will only accept the Date of Birth as it appears on the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate that is available on the date of submission.

The SSC CHSL age relaxation is permissible according to exam rules. The main points of relaxation on the upper age limit are listed below. The following are the upper age limits for various reserved categories of candidates applying for SSC CHSL 2023 recruitment:

SSC CHSL 2023 - Nationality
Certain conditions concerning SSC CHSL eligibility for Nationality must be considered in order to be eligible for the exam. Candidates must have the required SSC CHSL nationality as well as proof of it. Candidates must be of one of the following nationalities to take the exam:
A candidate can be either:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st of January,1962, for getting permanently settled in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Zaire, Ethiopia, Zambia, Malawi, and Vietnam with the intention to settle permanently in India.
SSC CHSL 2023 - Educational Qualifications
The minimum education qualification required to apply for the exam is another important parameter listed under the SSC CHSL eligibility. Aspirants must have passed the 12th Standard Exam or an intermediate exam from a recognised Board or University in order to sit for the exam.
