The basic pay and the pay scale of a RBI Grade B Officer remains same. However, the gross salary has been increased to approximately Rs 1,22,717. Also note that this gross salary is without HRA. The House rent allowance of 15% of Pay will be paid in case RBI does not provides the accommodation.
At the initial stage, the candidates will receive the monthly basic pay of Rs 55,200. As per the last revision, the revised RBI Grade B Pay Scale is of Rs. 55200-2850 (9)-80850-EB-2850 (2) -86550-3300 (4)-99750 (16 years). The Gross Monthly Emoluments are Rs Rs, 1,16,914/- approximately in metro cities and for others, it is Rs. 1,08,404/-.

i. Bank's accommodation, subject to availability, reimbursement of expenses for maintenance of vehicle for official purpose, newspaper, telephone charges, book grant, allowance for furnishing of residence, etc. as per eligibility.
ii. Free dispensary facility besides reimbursement of medical expenses for OPD treatment/hospitalization as per eligibility. Interest-free festival advance, Leave Fare Concession (once in two years for self, spouse, and eligible dependents).
iii. Loans and Advances at concessional rates of interest for Housing, vehicles, Education, Consumer Articles, Personal computers, etc. Selected candidates will be governed by ‘the defined contribution New Pension Scheme (NPS)', in addition to the benefit of Gratuity.
iv. At certain centers, a limited number of residential quarters are available. A facility for securing residential accommodation on lease, however, exists at all centers.
If one continues to work in RBI with sincerity & dedication, then an RBI Grade B Officer can reach up to CGM level post. Few Grade B officers have also managed to reach Executive Director (ED) positions and very few up to Deputy Governors (DG).

Candidates who successfully pass all three phases of the examination (Prelims, Mains, and Interview) will undergo training for the first 15 weeks. After the training period, the employees will be on a 2 year probation period (which can extend up to 4 years). During this time, employees are allotted to various departments. The duties and responsibilities or RBI Grade B Job Profile involve:
A. The RBI Grade B exam is conducted in three stages: Phase I (Prelims), Phase 2 (Mains), and the Interview round.
A. You will need a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor's degree OR a minimum of 55% percentage in your Post Graduation if you are a postgraduate (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants).
A. Yes, the RBI Grade B exam will be conducted in 2024.
A. If you are a general category candidate, you have 6 attempts, whereas there is no bar on the number of attempts for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates. By 6 attempts, it means you should have taken the RBI Grade B Phase 1 exam 6 times. If you have already taken the RBI Grade B Phase 1 exam 6 times, then you are not eligible to apply.
A. Yes, there is negative marking in Phase 1 of the RBI Grade B exam. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer in RBI Grade B Phase 1.
Expected Application fee for the RBI Grade B is as follows:
For GEN/OBC/EWSs - Rs 850 + 18% GST
For SC/ST/PwBD - Rs 100 + 18% GST
For RBI Staff - Nil.
There will be no application fee for the RBI staff.
