About CAIIB Exam
The Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) is a registered public company established by the Reserve Bank of India and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Finance, the Government of India that imparts education in banking and finance. It is known for its flagship courses, the Junior Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (JAIIB)/Diploma in Banking and Finance (DBF) and the Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). It is the statutory professional body for Bankers in India. With its membership of over 700 banks and financial institutions as institutional members and about 300,000 of their employees as individual members, IIBF is the largest Institute of its kind in the world and was established by the Reserve Bank of India. It works with the RBI in formulating and enforcing banking standards and policies.

Eligibility Criteria For CAIIB
According to the IIBF's official website, only those applicants who have passed the JAIIB or PART-I exam for the associate examination are eligible. Also, their membership subscription must not be in arrears. Other points that candidates should keep in mind:
- Candidates will be eligible to sit for the CAIIB exam for a maximum of two years after registering.
- Whether or not the candidate takes the CAIIB 2023 exam, their attempts will be counted.
- Candidates will be permitted to retain credit for the next attempts in subjects that they pass.
- CAIIB 2023 registration will be valid for two years, after which the applicants will have to re-register for the next CAIIB test.

How To Fill The Application Form?
The procedure to file the exam form has been given below in detail –
- Go to the official website.
- On the home page, choose the option Examination/Courses
- Below the dropdown menu, you will find the option Flagship courses. Click it.
- Choose CAIIB and click Apply online.
- Log in with your membership number and password.
- After reading the instructions thoroughly, click on accept.
- Now all the details like name, medium of the exam, mode, center for the exam, etc.
- Click on the preview of the examination form and check whether all the details are filled incorrectly.
- After that, click on accept and submit for online payment.
- Choose the payment option, i.e., credit/debit/net banking, and follow the instructions given on the screen.
- When the process is completed, take print of the fee receipt and registration form for the CAIIB exam.

The IIBF has set the CAIIB application fee based on the number of attempts made by candidates. Every attempt must be registered separately by the candidates. Registration fees are given below:

Some Important Points
These are some important points that must be kept in mind –

- Applicants must include a valid mobile phone number and email address to receive application confirmation and other correspondence from the Institute.
- Suppose the payment is charged from the candidate's account and the transaction is not successful/completed. In that case, the Institute will electronically reimburse the entire amount within 10-12 working days of the transaction date.

CAIIB Admit Card
The admit card for the CAIIB exam is usually released 10 days before the exam. Generally, the admit card is sent to the email ID and the mobile numbers of the candidate that they provided at the time of the registration. Besides this, the admitted candidates can also download the Admit Card from the official website. The detailed procedure for the same has been given below –
- Firstly, candidates should visit the official website of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance.
- There will be a link on the left side of the home page in which the candidates can select an examination/course.
- From there, they can open the link to the Admit Card.
- The membership number, as well as the password, are required for downloading the admit card.
- The website will display the Admit Card on the screen. Download it and take a printout of the same.
The admit card is to be carried to the exam hall, identity proof such as PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Driving License, etc., and also the membership card.

CAIIB Exam Result
The board announces the result of the CAIIB Exam on the official website of the IIBF. There are three papers, i.e., two compulsory and one optional paper of 100 marks each. The candidates are required to score minimum cut-off marks for the final result. The result is announced based on the total marks achieved by the candidates in all three papers. The candidates can check their results by logging onto the official website.
Passing Criteria For CAIIB Exam
The passing criteria have been given as follows:
- A candidate can avail 5 attempts for completion of each exam (JAIIB / DB&F / SOB / CAIIB) but, within a maximum period of three years, whichever is earlier.
- This attempt will be counted from the time the candidate registers for the exam.
- These 5 attempts need not be consecutive.
- Candidates unable to pass the examination within 3 years or 5 attempts, whichever is earlier, will need to re-enroll themselves afresh. Such candidates will not receive credit/s for subject/s passed, if any, earlier.
- The time limit of 3 years or 5 attempts, whichever is earlier, will start from the date of registration for the first attempt.
- Attempts will be counted when the candidate applies for the exam, irrespective of whether the candidate appears for any examination or not.
- A candidate will be eligible to apply for any five examinations out of the six examinations within the stipulated period of three years.
- If a candidate avails of all five attempts before the completion of three years, they will have to re-enroll afresh. Similarly, if a candidate does not avail five attempts but three years are over, they will have to re-enroll themselves afresh.
