The National Law University conducts the AILET or the All India Law Entrance Test for admission of students into their undergraduate, postgraduates, and doctorate level. The national-level law examination is conducted for admitting students to the law programs in NLU Delhi. The National Law University Delhi has started its online registration process for its national-level law examinations. Candidates who wish to apply should have read the AILET notification on the official website.

As per the AILET notification, the university has released a total of 198 seats to offer admission through AILET merit. There are 22 seats for the foreign nationals and the OCI/PIO.

The National Law University Delhi has set some eligibility criteria that should be satisfied to be eligible for the entrance examination. Your application form will stand rejected if you do not fulfill these eligibility criteria.
You should have passed the 10+2 or an equivalent examination with 45% minimum marks. If you appeared for the class 12 exam in 2002, then you are eligible to apply.
You should have completed your graduation or an equivalent degree with a minimum aggregate of 50%. You can apply for the examination if you are in the final year of LLB.
You should hold the LLM or an equivalent degree and should have passed with 55% marks. The SC/ST category has a relaxation of 50%. If you have completed your law degree in any discipline, then you can apply for the examination.
The AILET notification clearly states that you can fill out the application form through the online mode only. There are five stages involved. This includes registration, selection of the course, filling the form, uploading the documents, and fee payment.
The application fee is Rs.3050 for the Gen and OBC categories, Rs. 1050 for the SC/ST and PWD categories. BPL SC/ST and PWD categories are not charged any fees=
It is important to be aware of the AILET exam pattern. Knowing the pattern gives you a fair idea of the number of questions asked in each section, the marking scheme, and the difficulty level of the examination.
Over 14000 students appear in the AILET examinations competing for just 110 seats. Candidates need to follow the AILET notification and appear for the examination in a holistic way. The preparation should be comprehensive, covering all the aspects of the examination. Before the examination date, the candidate should have completed his syllabus and solved a good number of questions and mock test papers.
Starting early, making short notes through the preparation to refer to later, reading the daily newspaper, and solving sample papers as well as the previous year's papers helps
