SBI PO PET Admit Card 2026 Out: Eligibility, Link, Steps

Table of Content +

Update (17th July 2026): The SBI PO PET admit card is OUT. Eligible SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates who opted for the Pre-Examination Training while applying can now download their PET call letter from the official SBI Careers portal.

SBI PO Pre-Examination Training (PET)

Pre-Examination Training is a government-mandated facility that public sector banks like SBI provide to candidates from reserved categories before a recruitment exam. As per the SBI PO 2026 notification (Advt. No. CRPD/PO/2026-27/09), the Bank will conduct this training in online mode for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates, in line with guidelines issued by the Government of India. The idea is simple: give eligible candidates a structured orientation to the exam process so that lack of exposure doesn't become a barrier to a fair shot at selection.

It's worth noting that PET is not a substitute for self-preparation. It does not replace studying the syllabus, practicing mock tests, or revising concepts; it simply helps candidates understand the exam structure, the online testing environment, and what to expect on exam day.

Who is eligible for SBI PO PET 2026?

According to the official notification, the pre-exam training facility is available only to candidates belonging to these categories:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC)
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC) — non-creamy layer
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)

Candidates from the Unreserved (UR) and EWS categories are not covered under this facility. If you belong to one of the eligible categories, you must actively choose to take the training; it isn't applied automatically.

Benefits of Attending SBI PO Pre-Exam Training

For eligible candidates, especially first-generation aspirants or those without access to formal coaching, PET can make a real difference:

  • It's completely free of cost, so there's no fee for attending.
  • It gives you a feel for the online exam interface, which is especially useful if you haven't taken a computer-based test before.
  • It helps reduce exam-day anxiety by making the process feel familiar rather than unknown.
  • It's an official, bank-run initiative, so the guidance you receive is directly tied to what SBI's recruitment process actually expects.
