SBI PO Selection Process 2026

 

The SBI PO selection process 2026 has three stages. Candidates must clear each stage to progress to the next. The final selection is based on merit in the mains exam and interview combined- prelims marks are only used for shortlisting and are not counted in the final merit. The three stages are:

The preliminary examination is the first stage of the SBI PO selection process conducted by the State Bank of India. It serves as a screening test to shortlist candidates for the Mains examination based on their overall performance.

SBI PO Salary 2026

 

The SBI PO Salary is one of the best among all public sector bank jobs in India. Here is a breakdown:

  • Starting Basic Pay: ₹48,480/- (with 4 advance increments)
  • Pay Scale: ₹48,480–2000/7–62,480–2340/2–67,160–2680/7–85,920 (Junior Management Grade Scale-I)
  • Monthly In-Hand (approx.): ₹80,000 to ₹82,000 (including DA, HRA, CCA, and other allowances)
  • Annual CTC (Mumbai centre): Approximately ₹20.43 lakh per annum
  • Service Bond: Selected candidates must sign a ₹2 lakh bond to serve SBI for a minimum of 3 years from the date of joining
