Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has released the recruitment notification for Haryana Civil Judge in Haryana. In this section, we will be discussing the official notification, important dates, etc.
According to the Haryana Civil Judge Exam notification, the age group for the examination shall be from 21 years – 42 years. The High Court has published 256 vacancies, 156 of them for General Category, 40 for SC, 21 for BC-A, 11 for BC-B, 11 for EWS, 20 and 10 for people with disabilities. As per the latest update, the prelims exam is going to be held on 13th November 2021.

Before moving on to the filling of the application form, you have to make sure that you meet the below-mentioned Haryana Judiciary exam 2021 eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for Haryana Civil Judge 2021 exam are as follows:
Candidates need to have a Bachelor of Law degree from a University established by the law and approved/recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Candidates should not be less than 21 years and not more than 42 years as of 15.02.2021 i.e. closing date to apply for the post.
Candidate must be (a) a citizen of India or (b) a citizen of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly -Tanganyika and Zanzibar) Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia with the intention of permanently settling in India.
The selection of suitable candidates for appointment in Haryana Civil Judge (Judicial Branch) will be made by holding an examination. The examination shall be conducted in three stages namely:-
(i) Preliminary Examination.
(ii) Main Written Examination.
(iii) Interview (Viva-Voice).

Each question shall carry 04 marks and for every wrong answer 0.80 i.e. 20% or say 1/5th mark shall be deducted. There will, however, be no negative marking in respect of unattempted questions. General candidates are required to secure a minimum of 150 marks to appear for the main examination (100 marks for reserved categories).
The standard of the question paper will be of Law graduate level. i.e. the standard LLB syllabus that is prescribed in BCI-approved law colleges across India.
You have to score more than 40% marks to get shortlisted for the next round of the selection process.
The candidates who score the qualifying marks in Preliminary Examination are declared to pass and are shortlisted for the next level of examination- the Mains Examination. The Mains examination is an offline written examination and is descriptive. The shortlisted candidates are needed to apply for the Mains and sit for the exam. After the interview is completed, HCS is preparing the final merit list of HCS Judicial Branch 2020. The upload is expected within 10 to 15 days of the interview date.
Under the HCS Judicial Notice, male applicants must contribute INR 1000, INR 250 female candidates must be paid for the examination.
