About the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) 

Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the country's central bank was established in 1935. Although it was formerly privately owned, since its nationalization in 1949, the RBI is wholly owned by the Government of India. It is responsible for currency issuance and circulation, maintaining financial stability, and managing government accounts.

RBI Vacancy 2024 is released for Grade B Officer positions across three departments i.e. General, DEPR (Department of Economic and Policy Research), and DSIM (Department of Statistics and Information Management) departments.

The detailed RBI Grade B Notification 2024 PDF is out on July 25, 2024. Any graduate candidate aged between 21 and 30 years as of 1st July 2024 can apply for RBI Grade B 2024 exam. The Phase 1 exam is on 8th September 2024 and phase 2 exam is on 19th October 2024 for DR General. The candidates must be aged between 21 and 30 years as of the reference date. This simply means that the candidates must not exceed the age limit of 30 years. Minimum of 55 percent marks or an equivalent grade is required in aggregate.
RBI Grade B DSIM Officera. A Master's Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics/ Applied Statistics & Informatics with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years; OR
b. Master's Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years and a one-year postgraduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an Institute of repute; OR
c. Master's degree course in Data Science/ Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning/ Big Data Analytics, with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years from a recognized University/ Institute, an institute of national importance, UGC/ AICTE approved programme; OR
d. 4-year Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years in Data Science/ AI/ ML/ Big Data Analytics from a recognized University/ Institute, an institute of national importance, UGC/ AICTE approved programme; OR

A. No, your 10th and 12th class/standard marks/percentage do not matter. You will need a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor's degree OR a minimum of 55% percentage in your Post Graduation if you are a postgraduate (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants).
