IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern


The preliminary exam is the first stage of the IBPS Clerk selection process. It consists of three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The exam is of 100 marks and has to be completed in 60 minutes. There is a sectional timing of 20 minutes for each section.

The IBPS Clerk Mains pattern has been renamed and revised in 2025. The exam will now have 190 questions (earlier 155), but the total marks remain 200. The duration has been reduced to 120 minutes from the earlier 160 minutes. The final merit is based only on the Mains exam.
