Ladakh Police Constable- Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for Ladakh Police Constable is as follows:

Educational Qualification
The candidate should have passed the 10th examination from a recognized Board of School Education before the last date for submission of the application form.
(8th passed from a recognized school for any serving Special Police Officer (SPO) with a continuous period of engagement of a minimum of three years).
Age ( As on January 1st 2021)
a. The candidates should not be below 18 years and above 30 years in age. That means the candidates born before 01-01- 1991 and after 31-12-2002 shall not be eligible to apply.
b. In the case of serving Special Police Officer (SPO) and Voluntary Home Guard (VHG) with a continuous period of engagement of three years and five years respectively, the upper age limit shall be 37 years.
c. The upper age limit for Ex-Servicemen shall be 48 years.
Physical Standards
Height
a. Male - Minimum 162 cms.
b. Female - Minimum 152 cms.
Chest (Male only)
Unexpanded - Minimum 81 cms.
Expanded - Minimum 85 cms.

Physical measurement test
Standards of Physical measurement shall be as provided in Schedule-II(A) of the Ladakh Police (subordinate) Service Recruitment Rules 2021, reproduced below for ready reference:-
Height male -162 cms (minimum)
Height female -152 cms (minimum)
Chest (only for male candidates):-
Unexpanded- 81 cms (minimum)
Expanded - 85 cms (minimum)
Note-1: Candidates who don't qualify for the physical measurement test shall be disqualified and shall not be allowed to participate in the remaining recruitment process.

Scrutiny of original documents/testimonials:
Candidates who qualify the physical endurance test shall submit their original documents/testimonials, along with self-attested photocopies of the documents/testimonials, for scrutiny. (The scrutiny is provisional and all documents/testimonials shall be subjected to verification through the concerned authority).
Desired qualification test:
The test shall be conducted only for those candidates whose documents/testimonials have been scrutinized and
claimed in their application that they possess one of the below-desired qualifications:
i. Proficiency in driving and possession of Light Motor Vehicle Driving License with TRANS.
ii. One-year certificate course in Computer Application from an AICTE recognized institution.
For candidates possessing the desired qualification (i) above driving test shall be conducted. The driving test shall be conducted as per the latest driving test guideline formulated by the relevant department in the UT Administration
For candidates possessing desired qualification (ii) above written test and/or practical exam shall be conducted.
