Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) hereinafter referred to as ‘Authority' is a statutory body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. FSSAI has been created for laying down science-based standards for articles of food and to regulate their manufacture, storage, distribution, sale, and import to ensure the availability of safe and wholesome food for human consumption. FSSAI has invited applications on Direct Recruitment (FSSAI Recruitment 2021 Notification) basis from dynamic and motivated candidates looking for exciting career opportunities in the Food Regulatory System.
FSSAI has released the recruitment notification to recruit for a number of posts, the prominent ones being the technical officer (125 vacancies), central food safety officer (37 vacancies), assistant (33 vacancies), and many more, etc. A total of 233 vacancies have been announced by FSSAI in FSSAI Recruitment 2021 Notification. The apply online link has been activated and the aspirants can register for various posts till the 12th of November 2021.

Candidates in the ratio of 1:20 will be shortlisted/called for CBT (Stage-2).
Candidates in the ratio of 1:5 will be shortlisted/called for an interview for the post.
Candidates in the ratio of 1:10 will be shortlisted for proficiency in shorthand. Qualifying the proficiency test in shorthand and typing will be mandatory for the selection of the post. However, marks obtained in shorthand and typing exams will not be added to the final result.
Computer Based Test (Stage-1) will be of 180-minute duration with 120 MCQ questions. 4 marks would be given for each correct answer and 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer.

General Intelligence: Would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal types e.g. Questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgement, decision-making visual memory, discriminating relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series.
General Awareness: Questions to test the ability of the candidate's General Awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. Also testing knowledge of current events and matters of everyday observation may be expected of an educated person. The test will include questions relating to India and neighbouring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, sports and scientific research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
English Language Comprehension: Would test the candidates understanding of the English language its vocabulary, grammar etc. would include questions on comprehension, one-word substitution, synonyms and antonyms, spelling errors, spotting errors in sentences, grammar nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, prepositions, conjunctions, use of ‘a ‘an" and ‘the', idioms And phrases etc, Parts of speech.
Computer Literacy: Candidates are expected to be able to handle all regular office work on computers. Knowledge of MS office (word, excel, PowerPoint) including basic commands, Google Docs, emails, digital signature, and commonly use social media handles (Whattsapp, FB, Twitter, etc). would be tested.
