The Bihar Police Department is the law enforcement agency for the state of Bihar, India. The Bihar Police comes under the direct control of the Department of Home Affairs, Government of Bihar, and is headed by a Director General of Police (DGP).

The Bihar Police Constable eligibility criteria mentioned here is based on the criteria of 2020 and are defined under three different stages which are age limit criteria, educational qualification, and physical standards.

The details for the Physical Efficiency Test of Bihar Police Constable post is shared below which consist of 100 marks:
I. Race – 1.6 km (50 marks)
Candidates taking more than 6 minutes will be disqualified.
II. Shot put – 16 pound weight through 16 feet (25 marks)
Candidates throwing less than 16 feet will be disqualified.
III. High Jump – Min 4 feet (25 marks)
Candidates who jump less than 4 feet will be declared disqualified.
The Physical Efficiency Test for Bihar Police Lady Constable post will comprise a total of 100 marks. The distribution of marks is as follows:
I. Race – 1 km (50 marks)
Candidates taking more than 5 minutes will be disqualified.
II. Shot put – 12 pound weight through 12 feet (25 marks)
Females throwing less than 12 feet will be disqualified.
III. High Jump – Min 3 feet (25 marks)
Females who jump less than 3 feet will be declared disqualified.
The notification for recruitment in 2021 has not been released yet. As per the latest recruitment notification held in 2020, a total of 8,415 vacancies have been released for the recruitment of constables in the Bihar Police.

The registration for the Bihar Police Constable exam was started from 13 November 2020 & is going to end on 14 December 2020.
