The UPSC CSE Educational Qualification states that the candidates applying for the UPSC Civil Services Examination must have a graduation degree from a govt. recognized university. The educational qualification is not limited to any particular stream.
Candidates who are pursuing graduation and are waiting for their final results can also apply, but only on the condition that the result should be declared before filling out the application for the UPSC Mains 2023 exam. Also, candidates who have appeared for degrees such as MBBS, ICSI, ICAI, and ICWAI and are awaiting results can apply, but they need to provide proof of qualifying for the degree.
