The minimum qualification to apply for the JE (civil) posts is a 3-year diploma in Civil Engineering from an institute or university recognised by the government. Candidates who aspire for the PPSC JE posts will have to appear for written examinations conducted by the recruitment board.
The candidates should have a minimum age of 18 years as of 01/01/2021. The maximum age limit for the candidates can be up to 37 years. However, the age limit can be relaxed for candidates from scheduled and other backward classes in Punjab. The upper age limit for candidates from these classes is 42 years, which can be further extended to 45 years. The upper age limit is 45 years for the Board of Punjab Government, Corporation, Commission, Authorities employees, All States, and the Central Government employees. The upper age limit for widows and divorcees is 42 years, while the age limit for physically disabled people in Punjab is 47 years.
