Punjab PSC JE Eligibility Criteria
The minimum qualification to apply for the JE (civil) posts is a 3-year diploma in Civil Engineering from an institute or university recognised by the government. Candidates who aspire for the PPSC JE posts will have to appear for written examinations conducted by the recruitment board.
Age Limit to Appear for PPSC JE Exam
The candidates should have a minimum age of 18 years as of 01/01/2021. The maximum age limit for the candidates can be up to 37 years. However, the age limit can be relaxed for candidates from scheduled and other backward classes in Punjab. The upper age limit for candidates from these classes is 42 years, which can be further extended to 45 years. The upper age limit is 45 years for the Board of Punjab Government, Corporation, Commission, Authorities employees, All States, and the Central Government employees. The upper age limit for widows and divorcees is 42 years, while the age limit for physically disabled people in Punjab is 47 years.

Junior Electrical Engineers in the Punjab Water Resource Department
1. The candidates must hold a 3-year Diploma in Engineering in the Electrical branch (Junior) or a Higher requirement from a State Board of Technical Education or reputed Institution.
2. Matriculation in Punjabi or its similar standard.
Electrical Junior Engineer in the PWD Department (B&R), Punjab
1. Candidates must hold a Diploma Degree in the branch of Electrical Engineering from a reputed university.
2. Matriculation in Punjabi or similar standards.
Junior Engineer (Civil) in the Department of PWD (B&R)
1. Candidates must hold a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed university.
2. Matriculation in Punjabi or its similar standard.
Public Health Junior Engineer in Punjab Housing and Urban Planning Department, Government of Punjab
1. Candidates must hold a minimum 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from State Technical Education Board or a reputed institution, or candidates must have a higher qualification in the same field, that is, a degree in Civil Engineering from an esteemed university.
2. Punjabi of Matric or its similar standard.
Civil Junior Engineer in Housing And Urban Development Department, Government Of Punjab
1. Candidates must hold at least a 3-year Diploma of Civil Engineering from State Technical Education Board or a reputed university. Candidates must have a higher qualification in the same field, that is, a Civil Engineering degree from an esteemed university.
2. Punjabi of Matric or its similar standard.
Civil Junior Engineer In the department of Punjab Water Supply And Sewerage Board, Government Of Punjab
1. Candidates must hold at least a 3-year diploma in Civil Engineering from the State Technical Education Board or a reputed university. Candidates must possess a higher qualification in the same field, that is, a Civil Engineering degree from an esteemed university.
2. Punjabi of Matric or its similar standard.

Punjab PSC JE Civil Exam Pattern
The Punjab Public Service Commission selects candidates based on a written examination. After the written exam and document verification is done, the commission releases the merit list of the final candidates.
The pattern of PPSC JE Civil Written Examination
The PPSC JE Civil Examination consists of two parts. The candidates applying for a written examination can prepare themselves accordingly.
- The first part will include questions from the syllabus, while the second part consists of logical reasoning, mental ability, and general knowledge tests.
- The first half is more crucial as it has 100 questions of 250 marks. Therefore, candidates should try to work on them to score more. The second half consists of 20 questions for 50 marks.
- The questions carry 2.5 marks each.
