For example, a candidate applying for the post of Junior Statistical Officer who starts appearing at the age of 24 can continue to take the exam until the age of 32. This effectively limits the SSC CGL Number of Attempts to 8 in this case. The Commission has not set a separate attempt limit beyond the age criteria, so candidates should focus on meeting the age requirements for their respective categories. We will update this page if the Commission announces any changes or specifies a fixed number of attempts.
