The Madhya Pradesh Police Department is the law enforcement agency for the state of Madhya Pradesh in India. It operates under the direct control of the Department of Home Affairs, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh Police came into existence on November 1, 2000, following its bifurcation to create a new state of Chhattisgarh. The reorganisation of states led to the formation of the state of M. P. on 1.11.1956 comprising the erstwhile central province of Bhopal, Madhya Bharat & Vindhya Pradesh.
On its birth, the state had a complement of 252 Gazetted Officers and 39785 Non-Gazetted Officers and men covering 739 Police Stations. MP Police every year recruits candidates for various posts such as constable, sub-inspector, home guard, etc.
Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) has released the notification for the recruitment of 4000 constables @peb.mp.gov.in as Constable (Radio) and Constable (GD). Out of the total vacancies, 3862 vacancies are for GD Constable and 138 for Radio Constable. The syllabus of the MP Police Constable is given below. This tentative syllabus is based on the MP Police Constable Exam 2017 and is subject to change.
General Physics – General standards like weight, mass, volume, refection, refraction, transparency, the law of motion and gravitation, etc.,
Chemistry – chemical reaction, different acids, bases and gases, salt, metals and non-metals, chemical formula balancing and their facts, etc.,
Biology – human body structure, bacteria and diseases, and their symptoms, etc.
As per the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) Educational Qualification for Constable post in MP Police, the candidate should have passed class 10th Exam from a recognized Board or completed class 12th from a recognized Board of India.
